Inspiring thoughts, ideas and information provided by women business owners.

The purpose of Keystone Women's Circle is to unite, support and promote women business owners. A keystone is the stone in an arch that binds all others in place. In a circle of stones, every stone is a keystone. We believe that together we can create a foundation, not of brick and mortar, but of relationships and mutual support, enabling all of us to prosper.

shop local, save on mileage

I viewed and interesting documentary called Food, Inc.  It explores the truth about our food, where it comes from, the food industry as a whole, and its various impacts.  It was very factual but yet shocking to me at the same time.  One fact it discussed was on average one meal travels over 1500 miles to reach our plate.  1500 Miles!?  This includes the mileage to harvest, mileage to processing, mileage to the store, us traveling to the store to purchase it, and then to our plates.

Produce is in season.  Shop your local farmers market.  Shop your local meat market.  Save on mileage. Healing Essence Massage, Pamela
