Inspiring thoughts, ideas and information provided by women business owners.

The purpose of Keystone Women's Circle is to unite, support and promote women business owners. A keystone is the stone in an arch that binds all others in place. In a circle of stones, every stone is a keystone. We believe that together we can create a foundation, not of brick and mortar, but of relationships and mutual support, enabling all of us to prosper.

If you are anything like me, the change in seasons (in this weeks case, goodbye sun, hello wind, rain, snow and cold temps) triggers something inside to make changes in oneself.  I am on a kick to get loose weight, cook healthier meals for my family, clean out closets, make more money, spend more time with family etc. etc. etc.
Thinking of all the areas in my life that need improving or changes can be so overwhelming.  I am going to go a bit easier on myself this fall and take baby steps.  For those of you who are looking to make and accomplish goals let me give you a bit of advice:  Make a list of things you would like done.  Make it simple.  Put wake up on your list.  That way, if you accomplish nothing else on your list, you can at least cross that off!  Ask for help.  If cleaning out the garage is on your list, ask your husband or kids to help out!  Put on some music and make the best of an otherwise icky chore.  My friend and I once helped each other put up Christmas Lights.  We had a great time doing it together and it made the project much more enjoyable!  The day to day tasks can get boring but if you can put a new twist on it, you may actually have a good time.  Set realistic goals and do not get to discouraged when those darn obstacles get in your way!

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

We are women, hear us roar!

"I think the key is for women not to set any limits."
— Martina Navratilova

I am so proud to be a member of the Keystone Women’s Circle.  We are not afraid to try new things.  We can do anything we set our minds to do. We each bring a different talent to the table and as we work collectively, we do great things.  We have much planned for the future and I know that we not only will have our lives enriched, but also will enhance the lives of others who participate in our offerings.

I am so proud to be a member of the Keystone Women’s Circle.  I know that I have the support of each and every member and that they care as much about me achieving my personal goals as they do their own.

I am so proud to be a member of the Keystone Women’s Circle.  C’mon ladies. Let’s hold hands, count to three, and jump. Who knows where we are going to land! I know, however, that it will be amazing!

New business direction!

I'm very excited to let everyone know that I'm taking my business in a new direction.  I've had the honor to help people with many issues over the last 3 years, from Anger to Anxiety,  Self-esteem and phobias, smoking and weight loss.  I have loved them all and felt blessed to be able to help.  One of the issues is particularly exciting to me and I've decided to focus on that.  I love working with weight loss clients and feel so excited and blessed to be a part of  their growth and healing as they meet their goals.  I am now Calm Waters Hypnosis for women, as that is who I love to work with, and I specialize in weight loss.  Its what I love to do... and let's face it, I'm the boss and I get to do what I want:-)  So cheers to me for doing what I love, and cheers to all of you who are out there making your dreams come true. Women are amazing, were so strong and smart and courageous.  Be the author of your life.  Do what you love to do!

Have a great day and be courageous

Peppers Promote Weight loss

"Experts have long known that capsaicin-the compound that gives chile peppers their kick-promotes wight loss, but they haven't understood how. Now research shows that the substance triggers changes in proteins that help fight fat accumulation.  "Add dried or fresh peppers to lunch and dinner," says registered dietitian Manuel Villacorta, of the American Dietetic Association.  The hotter the chile, the more capsaicin, so "start mild with ancho chili powder and move your way up to jalapenos, then habaneros."  Want to work the magic on your holiday fare? Villacorta suggests baking an apple with chili powder and cinnamon; mixing a fruit salad with pineapple, chili powder, and lime juice; or adding chiles to hummus.  But peppers alone, no matter how strong, can't keep weight under control, he stresses.  "You still have to eat healthy and be active."" -Carlene Bauer, Wholeliving Magazine  Have a wonderful week! Art imitates life

I was reading the other day and a very interesting thing stood out to me.  Some group  was trying to see if art imitated life in regards to our large portion sizes of food.  So they studies the most famous meal ever painted: The last supper with Jesus and his disciples.  They found that over the last millennium the paintings have depicted larger plate sizes and more food!  Very interesting.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Photographs of a Most Wonderful Evening

How can you go wrong when you combine Women, Food, and Wine?  Top that off with informative, interactive mini-sessions and you have yourself a success!  That is exactly what last night was.  Women, no, GODDESSES gathering together, on a beautiful autumn night, to celebrate friendship, learning, and relaxation. Smiles and laughter were endless and the energy was unexplainable.  Here are a few photos for memories and for those of you who were unable to join us and want to see just what all the buzz is about.  The pictures do not do the evening justice but I can tell you, it truly was a wonderful night.

Thank you so much for all of you for attending, our hope is that you went home with some inspiring ideas.
