One study publish in the international journal of obesity studied the affects of sleep, stress and depression on weight loss. It found that those who had between 6-8 hours of sleep a night, managed their stress levels and depression, lost more weight than their counterparts. Stress and depression contributes to emotional eating and sleep affects many things including hormon levels.
